Dr. Jeena K
Dr.Jeena K completed M.Sc Biotechnology from Bharatiar University and Phd in Biochemistry (Mahatma Gandhi University) from Amala Cancer Research Centre, Thrissur. She joined in ACNSMM in 2015 as a Research scientist. Before joining at ACNSMM she worked as faculty in St.Joseph’s College, Irinjalakuda, Dept. of Biotechnology. She has 10 peer reviewed papers in international journals. Currently she is working on biomimetic 3D scaffolds, patient derived xenograft (PDX) models, and photodynamic therapy in glioma stem cells.

- Awarded first prize for poster presentation “Pharmacological activities of ginger oil”, at Indian Association of Cancer Research Satellite Meeting, ‘Inhibition of tumour progression’, 2011,Thrissur.
- Oral presentation on ‘Protective effect of ginger essential oil against N-nitrosodiethylamine induced hepatocarcinogenesis and its possible mechanism of action’ at Kerala Science Congress,2013 at Technopark, Thiruvanathapuram,
- Science direct Top 25 list of Most Downloaded Articles- Ranked 9th on the top 25 for Food and Chemical Toxicology- July to September 2013. (Title of the paper: Acute and sub-chronic toxicity as well as mutagenic evaluation of essential oil from turmeric (Curcuma longa L))
