Our Research
Our main aim is to develop nano/molecular systems to fight against Cancer by understanding its complex biology. We believe that cancer is an aberrant version of our `self' and hence a fight against it has intricate challenges. However, better understanding of cancer-biology at molecular, cellular and systems level combined with our ability to engineer novel nanomedicines to interfere those mechanisms may provide tangible outcome.
Some of our current research areas:
- Gene silencing in Cancer Stem Cells using siRNA nano-therapeutics
- Biodegradable nano-implants for prolonged and targeted drug delivery in brain tumor
- Simultaneous delivery of multiple small molecules against aberrant cancer signaling
- Image-guided injectable nano-gel implants for chemo- and siRNA -therapeutics
- Multimodal nano-contrast agents for combined NIR, MRI and nuclear imaging.
- Theranostic nano-nuclear medicine
- Serum protein nanomedicines for personalized therapy
- Raman spectro-pathology of cancer
- Nano cancer-immunotherapy
